Palm OS?
Zzzzz,
Tip DS
RE: Palm OS?
Not many people want to watch low framerate, pixelated 106x160 video on their Palm device. When Xscale and higher rez screens become the norm then this will make more sense.

come to think of it, I should have keep that paper organizer.
Movies on a Palm? :-/
Given the current hardware, watching videos on a PocketPC may be viable, but on a Palm? I don't think so.

Note: I, personally, have no interest at this point in watching movies on a 2"x2" screen. However, for those who do--more power to them.

'On a Clie, perhaps? While I'm sure I'm stirring up a 'hornet's nest here, if someone does want to watch 'movies on a Palm OS device, Sony's the only company 'with units that have the hardware capability to do it '(at least for now).

1) Support Memory Stick, so you can store a reasonably sized movie on the device
2) 66MHz processor with picture decompression acceleration libraries
3) source hardware that can playback MP3-format music without loading the CPU
These all add up to be the best Palm OS hardware for video playback, at least until the ARM-based machines arrive.
