the point is that it could be in the note on the record --- DateBK would be able to read that.

The IT in my office use pocket mirror as a standard when setting up PDAs. The software stinks to no end, not user friendly, only configurable to outlook, ect... Would be interested to know how it will work if one day the user have to sync back to Palm Desktop. Where will all those additional information / linking go ? Sounds like this will no longer be compatible with the Palm Address book, and as a result, will the various OS features such as phone look up will still work ? What problems specifically have y'all had? Although the first couple of releases caused duplicates, the latest versions of PocketMirror haved worked well for me. I'll have to agree with some of the other posters. I bought my wife a Sony device that came with IntelliSync (Lite?). She was disappointed with IntelliSync and replaced it with PocketMirror Pro after a few days.
Degree Suffixes, eg, PhD, MD
Will this new program be able to correctly store and reproduce degree suffixes, eg, PhD, MD, RN, RPh, PharmD? The basic Palm Contact program seems to mistake this for the last name when synching with MS Outlook (perhaps I'm using it incorrectly).

Read Only Category of Contacts
Perhaps another stupid question, but I want to sync a category of my contacts from out network at work in a "read-only" manner since I do not have write privileges to our team contacts. Is this a relatively simple thing to do? With this new program or other more robust programs? My personal contacts I want to be able to sync.

Visited the site. Checked out the details. If this program does what they say it does, than I am impressed. This functionality is something I have been waiting for somebody to develop for Palm devices and I am very glad to finally see it finally arrive and at a reasonable price too. Three things I hope it can do that are not mentioned on the site (or I missed, if it is there): • it can beam addresses to Palm devices that do not have the program (only see mention of receiving) If it has these features in addition to everything mentioned on the site, I am so there. Only 5 days from announcement to release. Very impressive. The LauncherX folks could learn something from this.

Looks yummy. Just one problem. I don't use Outlook, and never will. It's a vile piece of virus-writer heaven that I do not want polluting my computer. I guess that means I'm out of luck with this program, though. Too bad, I'd seriously consider paying the money for it otherwise. -- This post is ROT26 encrypted. Been using Outlook for as long as I can remember and never had a single virus problem. It's funny that just about every Outlook flame either comes from someone who is pissed off that their software is not compatible with the mailer they use or from someone who thinks that Linus is a godsent and wants it to take over the world so that they can feel good about themselves.
