Hot Sync

I.M. Anonymous @ 8/6/2002 10:54:23 AM #
Any idea if you can hotsync with this thing on? Does it have a passthrough if it won't fit on the cradle?

Visions of that awful franklin case/keyboard (size of a laptop) keep going through my head.....

Quote from review on CompuNotes:
"Develop a Q-Pad with a good belt clip and a HotSync/re-charge port and I'll never go back to a plain PDA."

I guess from that is that doesn't have the ability to PASS THROUGH.

Oh well....

According to the company's web page, it does have an 'integrated docking port' and also an optional belt clip.

don't think the design is good

I'd rather have a full size keyboard or a keyboard like clie t-series keyboard.
I'll have a difficult time using this one

just a thought...

A few months ago there was a product called thumb-mouse (or something to that effect) that changed your graphiti pad area into a type of trackpad. The biggest complaint that I read was that you would not have a way to input data w/o removing the product. Now, with the Q-Pad you could have a mouse/keyboard type of a setup.

Is anyone out there still buying palm accessories?

In the second quarter of this year, 846,000 handhelds were sold by Palm putting it way ahead of it's nearest competitor. So the answer to your questions is "yes".

> who would still buy m5x accessories?

Someone with a m5x pilot.

I currently have a USRobotics PalmPilot Pro circa 1997. Although I plan on upgrading soon, it has served fine for 5 years. I would imagine plenty of people will find the 100,000's of m5x series pilot adequate for years to come.

I suck...

I bought the stowaway, a USB charge/sync cable for work and a car charger for my 515.

Sucking.

Adequately Verbalized.

"nuff said", at least when used in an argument, is such an annoying attempt to declare victory and go home, kind of like the USA in Vietnam.

Anyway, this thing doesn't look like it needs to be used on a desk or table, not while walking around or other circumstances. Unless that's a really string hinge...anyway, not terrifically useful to me, though an interesting idea.

Very telling...

Based on the number of comments, I think it is remarkable how little interest this product has attracted.

keypad

I.M. Anonymous @ 8/8/2002 1:19:01 AM #
Why was the keypad limited to the m500 series. I could use one with the m130. what is the price?
