It works with both Microsoft Outlook and Lotus Notes. A 30-day test of the system is free and, after that, a year subscription costs $70.

Although I may appear to be lazy by not clicking the link provided, in truth, I am unable to understand the information there because I do not speak nor read english.

The Kyocera 7135 looks very interesting. It seems to have the right amount of features for what I'm looking for in a potential future upgrade.
My main concern is going to be durability, as it will of course be doing double duty as both phone and handheld.
A secondary concern is it's ability to modem into my dialup account, but that's minor.

Finally something practical for a wireless device instead of these over-ported web browers and instand messengers. these guys are going to clean up!

If I am traveling for three days, why would I want to or need to wirelessly sync with my Contacts or Calendar. Wouldn't I have this stuff with me? If I added a new contact on the road, should I be so concerned about syncing up with my desktop before I got back into the office.

Having used a Palm VII,VIIx and Kyocera 6035, aside from e-mail, wireless access is great for accessing information (flight schedules; local area restaurants, taxi services, hotels, news, weather, traffic, directions) etc.

Now tell me that I can access my desktop and have the ability to view/download any file or automatically forward it to someone via e-mail or fax, and I would say they have something.

Syncing a calendar event is sure not a good reason to keep my desktop powered up for three days while I am traveling. What a waste of energy.

One of the features I like best about my RIM is exactly that, the ability to wireless sync calendar events. I often get meeting added to my calendar intra-day so its great to be able to keep up with them without having to sync my Palm. I would love it if my Palm stayed up to date like the RIM does.

As for wasting energy. You're kidding right. My three PCs at home hardly use any energy compared to the Air Conditioner running at full blast just to keep the dog cool, the pool filter running in case we maybe, kinda, might get in later this evening, the dehumidifier running full blast, fans o' plenty, and the auto sprinklers...a PC, not even on the radar.
