 Advantage over PPC?

Does anyone know if there are similar chipsets in the pipe for PPC? If not this seems to be a significant hardware advantage for POS licensees. :)

FYI, despite the misleading name GoForce doesn't currently accelerate 3D yet. Obviously, both ATI and nvidia are probably working on that, but at least for the moment, this isn't possible, yet.

I'm disappointed to see that ATI isn't doing the same with its Imageon chips for the mobile space, but rumor has it ATI is much more interested in the cell phone market than on PDAs.

 Not ATI?
dona83 @ 2/11/2004 9:37:25 AM #

I'm a supporter of ATI products, this is a blow to me. Tapwave uses ATI's Imageon graphics accelerator. Any word if ATI might try to become licensed as well? I have a ATI Radeon 8500DV All in Wonder in my home computer right now, would like to see my Palm powered PDA to be ATI powered as well.
