Thank you for that off-topic, ultimately useless post. It looks like the only palmOne PDAs that sell for that price are the T3 and the TC (of course, the Garmin iQue and some Clies are listed, too). The majority of the pdas look to be PPC devices...geez, wonder why that is? It couldn't be because every PPC costs too much?

Should I go for it?

Haddock @ 4/7/2004 5:27:30 PM #
I can't tell if I'm sucker enough to go for it.

What do you think--is a T|C a good buy at 349, considering that new models are supposed to be coming by the end of April? The forum thread, however, seems to suggest that the new models may end up being Zires.

Haddock, I would not buy a TC. I would go for a T3 (not to mention the new models coming soon).

Who would buy a pda from amazon if they could get it from some little sight off pricegrabber for $100 less?

One Palm to rule them all!

Why the T3, out of curiosity? Personally, I like idea of the thumbboard and the WiFi, but I haven't really decided yet.

Thanks for your insight!

I like the T3 because of the small pocket sized form-factor when closed, and very large high-res screen once slid open. Not to mention bluetooth and an equally fast processor to the TC.

One Palm to rule them all!

I have been playing this waiting game for a few years now.

Every time something new comes out, I want 90% of it, and am hoping that an updated PDA will fix the 10% that I don't like, etc. When it appears, something new is out there and this trend keeps recycling.

So I really meant "a few years." I still have a Palm V. When I do upgrade, it will be BIG.

So, a $50 gift certificate problem won't cut it with me.
