RE: Great, but
You're right that the other Bibles (other than the NIV) are public domain and we give them away for free at our site.
The real news here is the availability of the NIV Study Bible Notes. These haven't been available except in Zondervan's desktop Bible software, and even in that product the notes don't match the most recent printing of the study Bible. The MDM product contains the very latest version of the notes.
Between the notes and the 100,000+ cross-references, it's a pretty powerful tool at a very good price.

RE: Confused
I am still dreaming of a 320*480 LEGAL & perfect port of arcade Galaga! A T3-style device would be better for those sorts of old arcade titles that had "tall" monitor arrangements but a Zodiac's landscape layout is better for modern games.
Overall, MDM still seems to do the best job of all of the newbie-friendly, retail-oriented content providers. It'd be interesting to compare that new mapping card to a dedicated GPS solution as there's an enormous price between this card and the new P1/TomTom bundle, for example.
RE: Confused
- I am curious to see if that's the exact same version of Centipede that was on last year's lame Atari Retro MDM card.
lame? :) come on - its retro *g*
as for its inclusion - yes, it is the same centipede. i believe it was a last minute entry because negotiations with arcade versions (emulators) didn't get resolved with the right financial terms and/or agreements.
while it may be the "original" 2600 version - it is the only officially "branded" title in the pack; that is, something that MDM can stick atari's name on for public recognition (regardless how it compares to the other titles).
in my honest opinion, when i saw the other titles - you would think people would buy it for them; but, they dont. they buy it for the atari trademark, because it is a trademark. without centipede it would be a great pack to in my opinion, some great games there!
- There was an updated version that came out earlier this year of their Atari emulator (full-screen support was the main attraction) but it was available only for download customers.
as i mentioned on this website and other websites - if you want to exchange your atari retro for an ESD version; mail me. i have passed on the question to MDM about updating existing MMC cards; and, it is possible - if your techy enough; i could fix that for you.

Anyway, you'll be hearing from me soon in regards to your ESD offer! Glad to see some honest-to-goodness developer support nowadays. I still like the concept of card-based entertainment software simply because sometimes it's nice to be able to buy some new games to play when at the airport or on a trip w/o a laptop.
And retro? lame? LOL, I LOVE lame retro gaming! Just a few more weeks to go until the Midway Arcade Treasures #2 comes out for consoles...I can't wait!
RE: Confused
- Wow, Aaron, I NEVER read about yout offer here or on any other site. I haunt PIC, Brighthand, 1src and PDArcade regularly so that makes it even more surprising! Let me rephrase the "lame" part...the retail MMC I paid $35 for last year was rather "lame".

there was a bunch of discussion about how users got from 1.0 -> 2.0 :) you'll see i posted a bunch of times there *g* surprisingly, i have actually received a few MMC cards in my mail! so, it seems to be an offer people are willing to do :)

we do our best :) but do contact me offline and i'll organize either a swap out - or, if you have an MMC card reader and are prepared to take a risk; i can get you the new binary image :) the changes were quite small, mainly to the main .exe and .prc files - the resources stayed exactly the same :)
