It is called local distributor margins and EU support taxes. Try getting an unlocked unit in the states and put your SIM chip in it. RE: Nice, but pricy
Yes, unlocked, but most locked phones come out at a fraction of the unlocked cost in the UK. Eg. you can get the PDA2K AKA Blue Angel AKA Orange SPV-2000 for £150 with a contract, compared to £575 unlocked. RE: Nice, but pricy
IanJD, Good point about the phones. Now when are GSPDA going to supplying the lovel M68 over here???
Can anyone tell me why the Treo 650 cons $699 in the US but € 729 = $ 959.73 in europe ? This is a difference on $260, why ??? RE: PricingPalmInsider @ 2/28/2005 6:30:32 AM #
Because Palm does not give a ** about European market. RE: PricingAdamaDBrown @ 2/28/2005 3:47:14 PM #
American tech is usually a lot more expensive in Europe. Part of it comes from the exchange rates, since the US dollar is in a continual state of crash these days. RE: Pricingpbutterworth @ 3/1/2005 11:08:42 AM #
Empansys is selling them for £209 with a Vodafone contract (Delivery estimate 17 March)
Lets hope Orange put it out at a similar price. cheers

Given the fact that here in Spain they're selling the 600 at up to € 700, I just don't dare imagine how much will this cost...
