Clie Bluetooth?

Frenchie @ 3/23/2005 3:25:24 PM # Q
Does anyone have any idea how much and how powerful the radio is? Ha, and people said Clie's were dead.

The world will end in 2006. Just as it was predicted in the bible along with the release of Microsoft Longhorn.... :p

I'm sure it'll be the standard Class1 30ft Bluetooth 1.2. I'll take a guess that it'll cost $150.

Opera Browser for Palm OS Petition

pmjoe @ 3/23/2005 3:33:35 PM # Q
They'd be better off doing a petition to get some devices with OS 6 out there. If I remember right, that is what the Opera folks were waiting for. I certainly would be if I was them.

Yup, OS 5 is still too limited & a patchwork for anything really decent to run under it. Blazer 4.x is gonna be as good as it gets for Garnet devices and...as long as they are reminiscent of the Treo 650 or T5 spec-wise, that's almost good enough. Almost.

Have you used NetFront?

It's only on Clies I think, and it's a shame, because it's a darn good browser too.

Probably because Sony had the benefit of being a licensee and was able to hack into the OS to get it working decently. If NetFront would work on any Palm OS device, you'd think someone would be selling it separately.

Bull. If you can do quake for palm os - then a browser can be ported. Symbian is no cup cake (though it is certainly more modern / object oriented than Palm OS) to code for either - but its had opera for ages. There is nothing mind-boggling about opera and everything it does can be done on Palm OS.

Why hasn't ardiri slithered out from his crawlspace to tell you how STUPID it is to even *desire* Opera on a POS device? You think I've forgotten the comments you made to *me* about this, ardiri? Fat chance!

With phones what we want to assure is that people are not recorded while they speak without permission.

This is not a technology issue it is a legal issue with serious consequences.

Please interact with technology responsibly. Tech. folks too see the customer, you and your peers, as the purpose for offering choices.

Without you we have no purpose.

Peace,
