Works pretty well on a Treo 680.. Palms owned: IIIe-> M125-> T|T-> T|3-> Tx-> Treo608 (unlocked) RE: Beta
Very nice program, but way to memory intense for just the temperature. Have to agree that it does have a nice background and since it will run from the card on my TX I will probably leave it there for now. Have noticed that when it shows the last time updated it is correct at CST but accross the top it shows the time in eastern time zone ie: one hour later for me. Keith RE: Beta
Pacman,
You took the review precisely outta my mouth. Why would today's weather be the only thing displayed. Maybe in the great canyons of NYC etc, one would have do go down 67 floors to go outside. But for the rest of us, I can just open the back door and take a look / feel. That's real time (as compared to a laggy EDGE Treo) and pretty accurate too. My 680 strangely reset again and a question @ configuring "Weather extensions" popped up with a decision box, in the middle of the Palm OS logo!!! After selecting yes, it never finished rebooting. Tried again same thing ... visions (fears) of a hard reset began to dance in my head. Pulled the battery once more and selected "no". It finished rebooting. I immediately deleted the app. Saga over. It's a little windy and partially sunny today here in GA, with temps in the 50s, no rain in sight. I just walked to the door to find out. :-)
Makes no sense (yet). Takes up nearly a gig of RAM and gives you less information than you can get by going online via Blazer through the 3 weather links on the Palm Mobile home page. Plus, it takes just about as long to 'sync' it as it would to get the same info through Blazer. Finally, (1) no radar; and (2) no forecast. It sure is purdy though. Maybe the next version will have some more bells and whistles, but this one's off my Treo 755p. Harold RE: More like alpha....
Yes, it is purdy. But is does run timed background updates at your discretion to have the info ready at a laggy NVFS Treo push of a button. I love the "web 2.0" apps like Google Maps and Tryda. This one just doesn't offer enough useful info. And since it caused (apparently) some strange reset issues on my 680, it is the "weakest link" & gone. Still Beta.

Nice to look at, but faster to go outside or look out the window and get the same information. If 5 day forcast (the Wii has it) get added or something then it's a great ap.

I kinda like it, at least the part which is married to the keyguard. The problem is the keyguard is interfering with some display updates and more importantly, my alarms. The alarm wakes up my TREO, but it does not sound, then the keyguard times out and the phone goes back to sleep.
Not a good combination when that alarm is supposed to wake you for work :-( b.b.
