Palm has lowered the retail price of the Tungsten E2 handheld down to $199. The TE2 features a high resolution screen, nonvolatile flash memory and Bluetooth wireless.

Can't say that I'm shocked. They'll probably be stuck with quite a lot of unsold units, the T|E2 still ends up between the 2 major user groups: either your job buys you a palm, in which case you'll probably get a t5, treo or a TX, or you buy it yourself as a gadget, in which case you'll either get a top model tungsten or a z72.

I'm sure they sell some though.

.... huh? The E's have been the best selling device Palm has for the past year or more. It's just market positioning.

The "T|E3" is about to follow too. Most compact Palm ever.

The price drop happened several days before the TX came out, and most retailers had already dropped the price on their own.
