In a forum post dated July 28th and entitled "Who wants the ATT WM6 ROM?!??!", XDA-developers forum member incognitho has provided a rapidshare link to a leaked image of the upcoming Windows Mobile 6 ROM for the AT&T-branded Treo 750.

I'm not happy with WM5 on my Treo 750. Coming from PalmOS, the first thing you notice is the U T T E R slowness of WM compared to PalmOS. Multitasking often is a gimmick: if you have 3-4 programs on simulatneously, the OS will crawl to a halt.

One of the things WM6 is supposed to fix is the speed of the OS, so I really hope it's true.

This is the device I've been waiting for! Now if only it were real, CDMA and available for U.S. Cellular networks. That's not to much to ask is it?
