To preface, I love me some Gx5 GUIs, and have DialByPhoto, pTunes, and CorePlayer all mapped to hard buttons. I really wanted to like and use this app as well, but unfortunately, the greatly decreased screen estate for the actual memos was a deal-breaker. Silver lining: with their skin system, I'm hoping they put out a skin optimized for editable space: remove the keyboard icon and scroll bar, scale down the other icons considerably, and it would let those who don't want to "thumb" take advantage of an otherwise outstanding app. RE: my 2 cents
To be honest, I didn't really notice the reduced screen real estate. Most of my memos are just short reminders, lists etc that usually don't take up more than one screen. I can certainly see why it'd be an annoyance though. Tim I apologise for any and all emoticons that appear in my posts. You may shoot them on sight. I would like to notice that it is possible to switch to the "old style" look. There is more space for reading the notes than on skinned version is.
I really like this app a lot, and its great to see a modern interface applied to a useful built in palm app with enhanced functionality while still being simple and easy to use.
My only complaint is that TreoMemo will only run on a Treo. I don't know wht Gx5 doesn't support other Palm OS models such as the TX/T5 etc. Doesn't seem like there is anything going on that solely requires a Treo. Also - it would be nice if there was a way to make your own skins as well.

I am also perplexed by the dedicated keyboard button. It does not seem to make any sense for a program made specifically for Treos.
I also think that the custom skins, while very nice, decrease too much of the text visible in the memo. Personally, why not just eliminate the scroll bar altogether (between the 5-way nav and the 'thumbscreening' is it really necessary? Certainly it is not necessary for the scroll bar to be, like, 10 times wider than standard.
Finally, there does not appear to be an option to beam a memo (the send dialog does not include beam) and there is no option to beam or otherwise send from the list view.
