New reports this week confirm that Oracle has purchased the intellectual property assets of the former company. Atlanta-based AppForge was founded in 2000 and provided tools for Visual Studio developers to create comprehensive on-device mobile applications for Palm OS, Windows Mobile and BlackBerry devices. Its main features included translation of Visual Basic .NET and C# apps to mobile systems, custom cross platform applications, on device debugging and support for many of the latest Palm and Treo devices.
