Palm Keyboard for $20?

$20 PPK

'Tis true!
A member of my PUG clued us all into the mistake. He had even called his nearest Office Depot to verify, and they told him that they had to honor the mistake. I bolted out the door and managed to snag the last PalmV PPK in my local store. If you don't have a PPK yet, now's the time to get one! Some things you'll want to know, though:

1) only Palm Portable Keyboards are on sale. Handspring, and PPC users are SOL.

2) sale is limited stock on hand. NO RAINCHECKS! If they don't have the one for your Palm, then you're SOL.

3) the sale ends in a few days, so if you don't get there ASAP, you're SOL. Chances are, though, that they'll sell out sooner than the sale ends.

I could never have afforded one at the full $99 price. But at 80% discount, I couldn't pass it up. I was just glad to get the last one (supposedly ;-).

Greg-
Can you tell us which OfficeDepot you went to?
Thank you.

Not everywhere

I just checked the Office Depot in Springfield, MO, and they are not honoring the ad. They have an orange piece of paper near the keyboards that explain about incorrect pricing, and that the proper price is $99. I went ahead and asked at the counter, and I was told that they would not honor the ad.

Hopefully people elsewhere will have better luck. Sure would have liked to have had one at that price...

I had the chance to get $100.00 back on my Palm VIIx. I bought my Palm VIIx at Circuit City for $449.00 The next day i say it at Best Buy for $449.00 with a $100.00 rebate. (wich was a mistake too) I took a copy of the sale slip to Circuit City and they gave me a $100.00 store credit. I used the credit to get my free Palm Keyboard. Not a bad deal, buy a Palm VIIx for $449.00 and get a free keyboard.

I did not say anything until the clerk wrang it up. Showed her the ad and she adjusted the price. No signs indicated they were aware of it.
