Kyocera Confirms pdQ² Details
In an interview with CNET, Kyocera spokesman said the photos of his company's forthcoming hybrid phone/PDA posted last week were real, though a bit dated. The only major change is that the pdQ² will have only Kyocera's and Palm's logos, not Qualcomm's. It will be officially announced November 27 and available early next year. The spokeperson refused to reveal the price, though he did say it would be "considerably" less than the $800 the pdQ cost.

This is the phone to get
I've got an IBM WorkPad c3 (a black Palm Vx), and have lusted after the Omnisky Minstrel V for some time--but now, I won't need either when I get the PDQ2!
My question is: how do you HotSync the PDQ2? I also join the writer of the article in asking where the IR port is...

you will see that the IR port is on the top.
The serial port is on the bottom. According to the user manual, it comes with a cradle for HotSyncing that apparently works just like any other Palm. The cradle uses a serial connection to the PC, not USB. It comes with the Palm Desktop app, too.
