Endeavors Technology has developed an open source port of Python for the Palm OS platform to stimulate interest in creating Python-based applications for Palm Powered handheld computers. Python is a useful and expressive object-oriented programming language often compared to Perl or Java and is widely used as a flexible and convenient scripting language.

Not quite Python. It's very limited and doesn't include file/database support. Besides, PocketC is getting better all the time for all platforms.
