Get a Massage from a Handheld

Raynet Technologies has unveiled the world's first body massager Springboard module. The Raycom Personal Massager converts the Visor into a massaging device. It provides Electronic Muscle Stimulation (EMS) through two gel pads that are attached to selected areas on the body. It is available now for $100.

A step-by-step quick guide is available to get started. The on-screen Instruction and Body Guide provides an easy reference. Users can observe their massage mode and progress through the color-enabled animated and graphic display screen.

Regular users will progress to unique personal settings including frequency, ramp-up modulation, burst, pressure, and duration.

The device uses less than 50 mA and provides more than three weeks of battery life under normal usage.

if it's "available not for $100," how much does it cost, then?

John Deere & MTD will soon announce a lawn mower springboard that weighs 110 lbs. The reason that it has not yet been announced is that they have not yet decided whether to use the Tecumseh or Briggs & Stratton platform. No word yet on the color faceplates or bagger attachments.

I've been able to do this with my palm since I was 14.

Humor Lesson #1
I.M. Anonymous @ 10/3/2001 7:15:18 PM #
You guys need to brush up on the way humor works. Repeating the same joke 5 or 6 times doesn''t make it funnier. It just makes it old and lame. The first guy was funny. The rest of you just look unoriginal.

It does, however, get funnier with a fake British accent. That cracks me up every time.

It is always funnier if you are naked and holding a watermelon. Works EVERY time.

Vibration

I.M. Anonymous @ 10/3/2001 10:25:16 AM #
I would have to wonder what the effects of long term vibration would be on the internal components of the Visor. Would the screws eventually come loose? Would the connectors come loose?

This is not the same thing as a short vibration for an alarm notification.

RE: Vibration
madhatter @ 10/3/2001 10:33:00 AM #
the module does not vibrate. The pads pass electricity through the muscles of your body, causing your muscles to tighten and loosen. The only effect on your Visor would be battery drain. I have a muscle stimulator and get about 3 weeks on a pair of aaa batteries.

A Palm in hand is worth two in your pocket.

Yes, the article did say that. I missed it the first time around. Still not interested though.

Ideal for the road warrier, no?

Long car journey ?

Long flight ?

ah a nice massage

Suits you sir :-)

RE: Ideal for the road warrier, no?

Except that you can buy a standalone version of this for considerably less that doesn't need a Visor.

This is the second funniest Springboard Module

TDS @ 10/4/2001 12:18:22 AM #
I got a good laugh out of this module. I am sure that you could fool people into thinking you had a "neural link" to your Visor by putting these pads on your temples.

When I was approved for my Handspring Dealership, I was shipped a "Welcome Package" that included my first Springboard module - totally free... It was a "Springboard Dental Floss Dispenser" - It fits right into the slot, and has a roll of standard floss right inside. It even included a note saying that the module was not refillable. It is good to know that Handspring has a sense of humor!
