Hexacto Acquired By Jamdat Mobile

Mobile game developer Hexacto has been acquired by JAMDAT Mobile, a wireless entertainment company. As a result Jamdat will add Hexacto's titles to its line up and will integrate the development team into its publishing business.

"This acquisition is particularly significant to JAMDAT because it combines our leadership in publishing mobile entertainment applications for BREW™ and Java with the expertise and market share of Hexacto, the leading game publisher for Pocket PC, Smartphone and Palm platforms," said Mitch Lasky, CEO of JAMDAT Mobile Inc. "We see tremendous synergies between our respective brands, distribution channels and studio resources that, when integrated, will enable our organization to be more capable and competitive than ever."

Hexacto has released a number of game titles for the Palm OS including Tennis Addict, Lemonade Tycoon, and Pop’s pipes. The company is also working to bring a version of the popular Worms World Party to the Palm OS.

Lemonade Tycoon

I purchased Lemonade Tycoon from these guys when it came out with a promise that a hi-res version would be available 'soon' as a free upgrade. I've e-mailed them twice regarding this in the past six months with no response. I will never buy from them again.

The same goes for GTS Racing. I love that game, but make a hi-res/+ version of it!
