CallRec v5.2 Update Released
The release of a new Palm OS-based device usually brings about updates to at least the most popular apps in each category. While a bit late to the party, QMobilSoft has nevertheless responded to the September launch of Palm’s latest Palm OS-powered smartphone, the Centro, with another update to their excellent CallRec voice memo and call recording program. This time around, version 5.2, brings the expected Palm Centro compatibility update as well as a number of bugfixes and smaller feature enhancements.
According to the developer, the full list of changes in version 5.2 are as follows:
- CallRec conduit improvements
- Configurable display options
- Renaming file improvements
- Separate categories for incoming and outgoing calls
- File naming improvements (more configurable)
- Some application bugs solved
CallRec v5.2 is compatible with the Palm Centro as well as the full line of recent Palm OS-based Treos: 755p, 700p, 680, and 650. 300k of available device memory is required to install the application and an external storage card is required for all audio recording storage.
CallRec is available for $19.99 and includes a complimentary 7-day trial period. Upgrade pricing is available to users of the older 3.0 and 3.1 versions. Users of version versions 4.0, 4.1, 5.0 or 5.1 can update to 5.2 for free. You can read PIC’s review of CallRec 4.0 here.
