Opera Software has released Opera Mini v3.0 today. Opera Mini is a smartphone optimized web browser that runs on almost every mobile phone including the Palm Treo. The new version adds secure browsing, RSS feed preview and aggregation, a photo upload feature and content folding.
Opera Mini is globally available free of charge and enables Web browsing on almost any mobile phone. Only an Internet data plan through your carrier/operator is needed to access the Internet.

You can check the forums yourself. Opera knows that there is a stability issue and are "working on it." In my experience, every time I try to load Opera 3.0, my phone soft reboots. My old Opera Mini V2 worked just fine. RE: If you have a working V2 version and a Treo 650, don't upgrad
They have solved this problem now. Made a simple Google search and checked my GroupWise with no problem.
Fantastic work!!!
It resets the Treo 680 right after installation and then when trying to reach any website afterwards. Hopefully there will be a fix soon. RE: Resets Treo 680
Have you heard anything on a fix for running Opera Mini on the Treo 680? I can't get it to work either. I experimented with all of the settings, but the best I can do is get it to only crash and go back to the menu without resetting my palm. I sure hope they get this working for the 680 soon! RE: Resets Treo 680
^^ In order to get Opera Mini working on the 680, you need to adjust your Java settings. 1) Go to Prefs It's a shame that this isn't better explained by the Opera folks - they don't even appear to have tested the 680. I had to find this information via their forums. Anyhoo, it should now work like a charm. Works great for me, apart from the odd crash. The scrolling and back/forward animations are neat. Thank you much! Your fix also worked with the Life Drive! (woot)

I installed it. Anytime that I enter a url or click on a link, it crashes the TX. I am using a very recent IBM Java VM.
Java settings is in your Palm's Preferences Panel. Prefs/IBM Java/Opera Mini
