A federal Judge has dismissed a lawsuit brought by Xerox against 3Com. Xerox claimed that Graffiti violates their patented "Unistroke" software that recognizes one-stroke motions as characters. Today, U.S. District Judge Michael A. Telesca granted 3Com's dismissal motion, saying there was "no genuine issue as to any material fact." Xerox was hoping to force Palm and other handheld makers to pay a licensing fee. They still have the option to appeal.
