PalmInfocenter Wins the 2008 PalmAddict Reader Awards

PalmAddict Awards 2008 PalmInfocenter has been awarded the Best Palm Website / Blog in the 2008 PalmAddict Reader Awards. PIC received the most votes in the category which included over 15 other Palm focused sites. In total over 80,000 votes were cast in PalmAddicts yearlong reader survey.

I also want to give a huge thanks to Kris Keilhack and Tim Carroll of the PIC writing staff, and to the moderators and volunteers who do so much to keep the site in top form, without whom I don't think this award would be possible! All of your efforts are enormously appreciated.

I want to go on record as making the first request of the year calling for the immediate resignation and/or firing of Tim Carroll aka freakout :-) ;-) ;-)

From his bunker (an abandoned gulag) deep in the barren wastelands of Tasmania, this descendent of former penal colony convicts is a notorious software pirate of the high (south) seas. Over the past several years, he has generally voiced far too much optimism about the Palm-powered platform and has been no help whatsoever in advocating the remaining Palm OS users migrate to the vastly superior iPod and iPod Touch!

He was last seen dressed like a post-apocalyptic hipster and beaming with optimism over some pagan ritual spoken of in shadowy circles and known as "Nova". He was seen clutching a dingy white GSM Centro while trying to recruit some aborigines to help him traverse the Pacific in a canoe to crash the Palm event at CES '09.

Resign, Tim, resign!

Wow, if it is this fierce now on this board, I hope the whole site is cached in RAM on the server when Nova is launched on Thursday. I'm popping the popcorn now to watch this drama already.

Congrats! I've read this site since I had my brand new Handspring Visor. Saw that the old PIC editor Ed got the # 2 site. PIC certainly is the place for Palm info (duh??!) Hopefully it will be able to trumpet the success of the new Nova OS.
