VisorCentral noted that
Innogear, the company behind some exciting springboard modules, posted a
faq today about their upcoming products. There is still no definite word or when they'll ship or pricing, but there is some new info about the springboards. The mp3 player is looking good unfortunately they decided to go with a proprietary
MMC memory card format, probably due to the small form factor, but the unit will work without a Visor and could be used with your car stereo.

We have developed a "wireless" message board and PQA for users of the OmniSky modem and service. It was designed and formatted for viewing on a Palm Device and can also be accessed on the web at:
http://www.palminfocenter.com/omni/.
Users can post and reply to OmniSky related messages in
real time and get answers to problems and/or just discuss
the OmniSky modem and service in general. Download the PQA
here from PalmGear or point your Palm browser to the URL above.

Mike Cane forwarded me this email from
ThinkOutside developers of the Stowaway fold-up keyboard. Read our

Palm posted an article on
Palm.com that recaps the highlights in Palm computing 1999 and looks to what the future holds for Palm Organizers. What's interesting is they mention that Palm and their partners are committed to bringing color and new media features to the Palm OS - but not at the expense of destroying the battery life, size, and weight of the handheld. Something similar to this was
mentioned by Palm's VP awhile back.

IBM has developed a Palm based AIX admin tool for RS/6000 machines. Read up on it
here. The Palm devixe connects to the RS/6000 server via the serial port, and communicates with the server in XML. The XML communication interface makes the application completely extensible and customizable to the customer's environment. Current capabilities include network set-up, memory, CPU, and disk monitoring, WebServer management, and system model & configuration reporting.

review ... Do you want to have the Bible on your Palm, but don't think you have enough memory? Well now you can. Laridian Electronic Publishing has just what you are looking for. My Bible, originally Scripture by Servant Software, employs a unique compression algorithm, which reduces the entire Bible down to about 1.5Meg, plus 30k for the base program. For this review, I had the NIV version; it took about 1.4Meg just for the bible, and about 200k more for the optional footnotes.
