There is also a company making a direct port of the licensed version of Worms World Party, with all the weapons and whatnot, exactly like the PC version (World Party is the latest release of Worms). I think I saw the blurb posted here on PIC somewhere. It's supposed to come out sometime early next year.

Speed seems great on the nx70v, if only sony included hi-res assist with this model, then the screen would display properly.

I don't know where you are, but I'm in Southern California and Paragon Software is in Moskva, Rossiya and as somebody who has dealt with their customer service, I can agree that it is slow. Writing your email in Russian speeds up service.
To tell you the truth, BlueNomad, Skyscape and HandEra are the only PalmOS companies that I have encountered with timely and true customer service. Handspring, Sony, ThinkOutside, CuttingEdge.....all make me long for M$ tech support.

Gesh, if you were as professional with them as you were in posting the message, I wouldn't want to respond to you either.

i dont know about you guys, but, i received SPAM from the authors to all 5 of my email accounts (which, i have used since developing for palm). i personally think their advertising technique was totally un-ethical.

as for the game, well, i was distracted by the advertising spree so i haven't installed it. :)

You forgot to provide public here with one small, but very piquant detail:
you received our messages on your accounts you use on Palm OS crackers and hackers forums. I almost sure that some of these messages were E-mails with warnings about using modified copies of RifleSLUGs game on your Palm.
Can you argue the fact that your name is appeared on crackers and hackers forums?
If you can't agrue this fact, I think all your arguments against us and our new product don't have any value at all. The real fact is that you DON'T like to pay for software you use. All other things are idle talk and nothing else.

Oh, I see! A guy , who have already read 200 ebooks (no more than 200, I suppose, because they do not fit into his palm pilot memory!), can not find the right tap to select a gun!

what are you implying here? i never received "warnings" about cracked versions of your software - hell, we all know they exist, and, well, quite frankly, thats *your* problem. in regards to the fact that i dont pay for software; well, i'd like to know where you got those stats from. i normally, exchange software with developers (swapping via PEF) so; i dont need to *pirate* software. please, do get your facts straight!

and, to be honest, if i wanted worms on the palm, i'd write it myself; you, of all people should know that. maybe i should do a worms clone, release it for free just to ruin your market? *g*

Um, refering to the board of which you talk of. It clearly states that you cannot enter the board if you are a developer you cannot enter it. Also many of the so called crackers promote buying software. One of them once said that the best game is "cracking". It is the losers that are the leeches of this group which steal the apps and don't pay for them. I must say that i have always bought my software. I too received the email from Paragon who advertised its crap ass product to me. I believe that Paragon is perhaps the most unethical company. I will also say that Aardi is the best developer for Palm OS because he is active on the boards and his service is always quick and speedy. When I worked on the VTech Helio his assistance was always there, buy his stuff

hey, i *found* that board, and busted someone chops for distributing some lemmings level packs *g* [if you are a member - you'll know what i am referring to]. well, the concept of a forum that doesn't allow developers may be nice in theory, but, we will always find a way to enter :) its nice to know what is happening in the underground (yes, apps are cracked; but, better to know of them than not to); but, more to the point (re: paragon), i *created* my account on that board three days ago; i received SPAM months before... nice argument, but, no cigar.

hi guys what are u talking about ? i never had any problems with paragon . well once i had some problem getting the software from them but everything was fixed in a couple of hours despite the fact that i am in USA and they are in Russia .

the game is pretty cool , i was waiting for worms for so long that now i am happy and u guys here are bubbling around !

Make a clone of wormz :-). What forums are you a member of. Rifleslugz is nice but it does get boring and is too big. It will not be on my palm for long. It is just nice to look at.

From what I read on thier website, the enemy is _supposed_ to always use the one big gun. Guess it makes AI simpler but you are right that it gets old pretty quickly. I'm waiting for the World Party port myself...

Well, you can not expect the game for such a small device to be similar to the game for desktop PC. Besides, this is the first version. Guys from Paragon promised to improve it greatly: hi-res support, improved AI, different weapons etc. They say, it should come out by the Christmas.

As for me, I am having fun with this game and waiting for the next version :) And I like it!
