![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Comments on: Palm Releases TomTom6 Update for Treo 680 and 750 UsersPalm has posted an update to their support site (curiously dated January 31st but only available as of February 9th) for owners of the latest Treo 680 and 750 smartphones. Essentially an official version of a hack reported over a month ago discovered by some TreoCentral members. This update enables purchasers of the Palm GPS Navigator 2 kit to use it on the Treo 680 and 750. Treo 750 owners will have to provide their own miniSD card for external map storage due to the fact that this kit comes bundled pre-loaded fullsize MultiMedia card that will not fit in the 750's slot. An SD/MMC card reader is required to install the updated files.

I also cannot download it off Palm's site. I'm eager to try it out. Perhaps it's available at an alternate site? RE: Alternate Site
You can use the following link, it's working: http://palmone.r3h.net/downloads.palm.com/TomTomNAV6_680Update.zip Best regards form Germany Dirk RE: Alternate Site
Thanks Dirk, that link worked great. Unfortunately the 5-way is still not properly supported in this update. Curses! RE: Alternate Site
Does anyone here have a Treo 680 and the "official" Palm GPS Navigator 3 kit? Does the from-the-factory version of TomTom 6.03 work properly with the 5-way navigator pad? Pilot 1000-->Pilot 5000-->PalmPilot Pro-->IIIe-->Vx-->m505-->T|T-->T|T2-->T|C-->T|T3-->T|T5-->TX-->Treo 700P RE: Alternate Site
5-way works for me now - I somehow missed copying the start.prc file to the PALM directory of the SD card. But now I have a new bug: for no reason at all, it'll screech three calendar alarms in a row when it opens. Weird. Otherwise works fine...
