Palm has the whole world in its hand

There's a very well written article over at USA Today. It summarizes how the handheld market will heat up and change due to the visor and Palm Computings new independence. Here's a great quote that sums up the general trends in the handheld arena: The twin events help launch a new era for hand-held computing. Prices will head down while innovation and awareness should rocket. Hand-helds - now largely the province of early tech adopters - will increasingly find their way to students, moms and middle managers. Units sold, already expected to grow 30% a year, should soon surpass laptops." It also states that Palm is expected have an IPO in January.
