If you don't mind violating the warranty on your brand new m100, the Japanese site Palm de Cool has posted step-by-step instructions, in English, on how to upgrade your 2 MB m100 to 8 MB. If you are handy with a soldering iron and can afford to buy a new $150 m100 if you destroy this one, give it a try. If anyone has done this successfully, please write in and tell about your experience. -Ed

Might as well add a 1N4001 to pad 9 and Batt +. So you can have the thing recharge too.
I just dont get it. Why is it so hard for some folks to figure this out? Let me try and help. "VISOR DELUXE" I can drop the 8mb flash module in my Visor and have 16meg. Can you do that with the m100? I think Handspring has the m100 by a knock out. Sorry palm users. I mean sorry to you palm users. LOL.

To anyone who's successfully carried out this transformation: how hard was it really? And how great is the risk, assuming the installer is reasonably careful, that you'll end up with a $150 hockey puck?
