Posted By: Ed on Friday, September 08, 2000 9:56:35 AM

FileMaker, Inc. has announced FileMaker Mobile for the Palm OS platform, a companion to FileMaker Pro 5 that will allow a user to transfer and synchronize data between FileMaker Pro databases on Windows and Mac OS systems and Palm handhelds. Users will be able to view, modify, add, and delete records on both the PDA and the PC and choose which fields and records are downloaded. It will be available this Winter for under $100.

There are already some third party software apps, like FMSync for JFile Pro, that will let you use your FileMaker databases on the Palm.

On a related note, FileMaker is giving a way a couple of Palm Vxs and a couple of Palm Vs in a contest to find the workgroup that is making the best use of FileMaker.
