Several New Versions of PrintBoy Coming

Posted By: Ed on Monday, December 11, 2000 1:54:26 PM

Bachmann Software has announced that they will be releasing PrintBoy Documents at PalmSource 2000 this week. This is the first stand-alone commercial app that allows Palm users to print Doc files directly. It will sell for $20.

They will also be releasing PrintBoy 2.2, a suite of applets that prints appointments, addresses, to-do lists, memos, e-mail and info stored on the clipboard directly to most printers via infrared or serial connection. PrintBoy 2.2 is priced at $15.

They will also be offering PrintBoy Deluxe, which combines the functionality of PrintBoy 2.2 and PrintBoy Documents with two additional PrintBoy applications: Text Notes and Scribble Notes. These let users create and print either a text or scribbled note. PrintBoy Deluxe is priced at $33.

PrintManager 3.2 allows software developers to integrate the features of PrintBoy into their own software products. It includes a suite of printer drivers and a software developer's kit. PrintManager 3.2 is priced at $35.
