PrintBoy Now Supports Spreadsheets

Bachmann Software & Services today is introducing two new applications: PrintBoy Spreadsheets - Quicksheet Edition and PrintBoy Office.

PrintBoy Spreadsheets provides printing of spreadsheets from the Quicksheet and Quickoffice applications. It includes portrait and landscape views, grid lines, column alignment, proportional fonts, column headings, cell formatting and sheet selection. It sells for $20.

PrintBoy Office provides an complement to Cutting Edge's Software’s Quickoffice, as the spreadsheet and document printing match Quickoffice’s spreadsheet and document features. PrintBoy Office sells for $25, a 37% savings from purchasing the Spreadsheet and Document applications separately.

Spreadsheets have become among the most popular business applications for handheld computers, giving Palm users the ability to collect, view and analyze data from any remote location. The technical capability to produce a hard copy of a spreadsheet on-the-spot has been in high demand. The introduction of PrintBoy Spreadsheets and PrintBoy Office finally gives users the same level of overall printing capabilities they enjoy at their desktop.

Of equal importance is that they also upgraded printboy documents to include wordsmith (RTF) support!!!

Dan Reuvers, Vice President, Business Development for Bachmann Software & Services, said "Yes, PrintBoy does now support the RTF file format of Wordsmith, as well as the recently announced support for Spreadsheets."

I'm actually in the process of writing a review of PrintBoy Deluxe, that includes PrintBoy Documents. Keep your eyes open for it in the next day or so.

After posting my earlier query, I downloaded the trial version and it does indeed print Wordsmith documents...Very well I might add!

Now if they would just add support for the SmartPad sketches that I have attached to my memos....and maybe also Fireviewer documents.

Guess I'm just greedy ;-)
