Palm and Handspring Tighten Enterprise Agreements

An important part of Palm's and Handspring's strategic plan is to increase sales to large corporations. To do this, both have made agreements with companies that already have a presence in the Enterprise market.

Palm and Siebel Systems, the world's leading provider of eBusiness software, have strengthened their existing alliance to jointly market, sell, and ensure smooth implementation of Siebel Systems' mobile eBusiness solutions on Palm handhelds. Both companies' salespeople will use Siebel Sales on Palm handhelds to increase productivity and revenues.

Last month, Siebel announced that Siebel 7 Sales Handheld for Palm OS would be an important part of its new eBusiness Suite. It provides quick access to vital information that sales professionals need to be responsive to customer needs.

Handspring and Synchrologic have announced an agreement to deliver enterprise-class mobile solutions based on Synchrologic's iMobile Suite and Handspring's handhelds.

The companies will work together in an effort to bring mobile and wireless hardware and software solutions to corporate customers, including accessing groupware, databases, sales force automation (SFA) information and customer relationship management (CRM) data.

"We have supported Handspring devices since inception and continue to be advocates of their products,'' said John Dancu, president and COO of Synchrologic. "Our partnership delivers a powerful combination of mobile infrastructure with state-of-the-art usability so that with one 'tap' Handspring users can receive vital corporate information.''
