This was another holiday week so news was light. Palm's temporary CEO gave a rough timetable for hardware releases this year and a likely release date for the Handspring Treo was in the NY Times. Sony released updates so its desktop software would work with Windows XP. Speaking of Sony, there is also a rumor that it will soon release the S360.
In new software, there was PalmReader Pro and Pocket Mahjongg. The PowerNapping Springboard module was released, too.
The week saw a couple of new reviews: the HotLink USB Cable from LandWare and the Rand McNally Road Atlas.
At the end of the year, its traditional to do a retrospective of the year that is over. Looking in the opposite direction, the Consumer Electronics Show is next week and News Editor Ed Hardy made some predictions.
