Quickies: Blue T615C, Australia, N7XXC Repair, Dragon Bane
Sony moved up its release date for the Clie T615C in the Blue casing. The original date was Feb. 28 but the release date has been moved to Feb 12. -Ravi
Handspring has on its website that the Treo Communicator will be available in Australia in "early 2002". -Australian PUG
If the glass but not the LCD underneath breaks on a Sony N7XXC series, STNE Corporation now offers a replacement. If the LCD itself is broken, Gethightech now sells replacement screens for the N7XXC. This is not an easy repair but for the do-it-your-selfers this could save some money. These both of these work with the N710C, N760C, and N770C. -PR
MythoLogical Software has released a free Dragon Bane II Adventure Construction Kit. Using graphical tools running on a PC, fans can now create their own adventures and distribute them. -Jason Freund

Keep in mind, that Sony WILL offer what they call their "out of warranty" service for color Clie's for $150. Usually if your screen is cracked, other stuff got at least somewhat damaged too (or at least there's a chance). It might be worth the extra 50 bucks to get yours totally fixed or replaced with a refurb, just to be sure you're fixing everything. When I put together the money, I'm sending mine in (cracked glass).
Sony sends a box to you and you send it in to them, and they send it back to you next-day delivery...all covered under the $150. For a $475 device, that's not bad.

So, I guess that $100 for repair (and not violating warranty) is much better than $70+shipping Do-It-Yourself kit from GetHighTech, isn't it? Although there are much less fun :-)
