Posted By: Ed on Saturday, March 02, 2002 10:59:46 AM

TealPoint Software has released TealInfo 4.00, which is an application that allows users to create and view interactive documents complete with scrolling lists, tables, images, checkboxes, outlines, math calculation, and pop-up windows of information, with no programming required. The new version adds support for external media cards. It sells for $17.

Other new features in TealInfo 4.00 include math calculation ability, TealPrint support, tables, popup outlines, random item selection, date and time detection, scripted drawing, and numerous additional features.

"With TealInfo, anyone can create fully interactive reference folios that feel like full programs," said Vince Lee, President of TealPoint Software. "The true power of the system comes from hundreds of amazing folios our customers have made and submitted to us for free download from our folios library."

 Teal THis.. Teal That

Why do they name everything Teal this and Teal that.. that's such an ugly name.

Nothing about the palm is Teal anymore. They have an obession with Teal.

Teal does make some good products though, but that name blows.

The company's name is TealPoint.
They name their products Teal---- to increase brand identification.
If people have one product made by TealPoint that they're pleased with, they'll be more likely to buy other products by the same company. Making it easier to identify these products, especially when there are several similar products, is just good marketing.
I really don't see the point in criticizing they're choice in names, it's pretty useless.

If the biggest criticism one can make is the name, that says something in itself!

It's better than Diddlebug. Better hope that guy doesn't make more "Diddle" applications with that prefix.

actually, diddlebug is named after two different apps. diddle, and bugme.

so, i'd go complain to the guy who developed diddle, not the guy who built up on his idea when creating diddlebug.

 Folio format

What I want to know is if they've made creating folios any easier. Their lame excuse for documentation on their incomprehensible format was always the worst part of TealInfo, which is why I never used it much. If they've fixed that, wunderbar! If not, ARGV!
