Sony Clie Price Cuts
updated Sony has lowered prices on the SJ33, SJ22 and SJ20 Clie handhelds. The SJ33 was lowered to $219 and the SJ20 can now be had for $99 after rebate. In addition, Sony has posted a Bluetooth driver update for the NZ90 and TG50.
Price Cuts
SonyStyle has cut the price of the SJ33 to $219.99 with free overnight shipping included. The SJ33 sports a sleek exterior design with an integrated translucent flip cover, MP3 audio and a large capacity rechargeable battery. It has a hi-res, 16-bit, backlit TFT color screen, 16 MB of RAM (15MB available to user) and 4 MB of flash ROM. It runs Palm OS 4.1 on the Dragonball Super VZ 66MHz.
Sony has also cut the price of the SJ22 to $179.99, it also includes free overnight shipping. The PEG-SJ22 has a 320x320, 65k color screen, 16MB of RAM and a Lithium-ion battery. it runs Palm OS version 4.1 and uses a 33mhz dragonball VZ.
SJ20 for $99
Sony has begun offering a $30 mail in rebate on the SJ20. This brings the final price down to $99 and puts it in direct competition with the Zire. The SJ20 is Sony's entry-level handheld with a 320x320 pixel backlit monochrome screen, 16 MB of RAM, Memory Stick expansion and runs Palm OS 4.1.
The NX60 handheld has been discontinued by Sony and is no longer available from SonyStyle.

Palm OS 5 Bluetooth Drivers Update
Sony has also released updated Bluetooth drivers for Palm OS 5. The update is for models with built in bluetooth, currently the NZ90 and TG50. It updates the Bluetooth Stack Library and BIP (Basic Image Profile library) and resolves a few minor bugs. The update requires approximately 1320KB free ram and is available from the Sony Clie support site.

What I can't fathom is why either Palm, Sony or PocketPC manufacturers other than HP (as the h1940 is close to perfect) can't come in with a compelling PDA with Bluetooth and a $200 price range. Is this a pipe dream or too much to ask for ? The h1940 has a sugg retail of $299 so it isn't far off.

The SJ33 is an excellent handheld!
I specifically went for it to get a little more milage fron the OS4 apps and hacks I've spent money on over the years.
I imagine it would be an excellent upgrade for anyone else in the same position.
If at all posiible go and demo one.
