Chapura today announced that PocketMirror Professional XT 3.1.7 is available to synchronize the enhanced PIM and extra fields included with the Tungsten T3 and Tungsten E handhelds with Microsoft Outlook Contacts, Calendar, Tasks, and Notes.
Unlike all other palmOne devices available, the Tungsten T3 and Tungsten E devices include customized personal information management (PIM) applications, which have been extended to include more fields than the PIM software in all other Palm Powered handhelds. PocketMirror Professional XT is the first third party software to meet the advanced needs of Tungsten T3 and E owners by synchronizing these additional fields with Outlook. “Chapura is expanding the PocketMirror product line to fill a void created by the new extended applications in the Tungsten T3 and E devices,” says Keith Ellenberg, chief operating officer at Chapura. “We are excited to be the first to offer an advanced synchronization solution to help people get more use out of their handheld. In addition to offering the reliable PocketMirror Professional XT software, we have support experts here in Alabama who are glad to help customers with questions, no matter how basic or technical.” PocketMirror Professional XT lets owners of Tungsten T3 and E devices make better use of the extended PIM applications that come with the handhelds and keep Outlook information organized on their computer the way they like it – in separate folders. In addition to synchronizing the additional fields, PocketMirror Professional XT offers:
PocketMirror Professional XT is available to owners of Tungsten T3 and E devices for $49.95 USD. PocketMirror Professional customers can purchase PocketMirror Professional XT from the Chapura Web site for the special price of $24.95 until April 30, 2004.

Subfolders are a very useful tool in Outlook - Multiple address books for Personal, Vendors, Clients, etc... Multiple task lists are great too - One for business, one for personal, one for movies to rent. Once you start using subfolders, you never want to go back. And for corporate clients using Exchange Server with Public folders, nothing even comes close to Pocketmirror. I swear by this software. It is fast, it works as advertised, and they have a great help section on their website if you do run into problems. That is the point. RE: The point?JonathanChoo @ 3/22/2004 10:13:47 PM #
I know...my posting was just to highlight to people who do not need to sync with multiple folders, there is nothing new they can get out this product. Thats all. --- PDAs: Psion 5> Vx > m505 > N770C > T625C > NR70V > Toshiba e310 > T/T > HP h2210 > T/T3/HP h4150 (est arrival 25th March) Mobiles: StarTac > Ericsson T28m > T39m > T68m > T610 > T630 DigiCam: Minolta DiMage E323 RE: The point?
Having used PocketMirror Pro for several years, I upgraded to KeySuite last summer.
As KeySuite already supports the subfolders in Outlook and multiple contact addresses, I for one don't see what this program offer to be worth an extra $25 The only advantage would be that I wouldn't need the extra space of having the KeySuite programs taking up extra memory!
I have been eagerly awaiting this upgrade from Chapura for months. I have been using Pocket Mirror Pro for a couple years now and find the software to be top quality. I was disappointed when I got my new T3 to not be able to use the new contact fields and have them sync into outlook. I emailed their support back in Oct or Nov and although they made no promises, got back to me promptly and said they expected to have it out by the end of the 1st quarter of 2004. So here it is near the end of the 1st quarter 2004... since when do we actually see software companies make good? Chapura seems to have their act together.
With respect to the software upgrade, it works like a charm! The transition from Pocket Mirror Pro to Pocket Mirror XT was a breeze. I was a little leary since I manage over 1000 contacts in 13 different subfolders but no data was altered. Now I just have to start entering their birthdays, IM addresses, etc. Good stuff Chapura!
