Tap Magazine Renamed Handheld Computing Magazine

Tap Magazine has changed its name to Handheld Computing Magazine and will soon start appearing in several different versions including a monthly magazine. a quarterly buyer's guide, a weekly electronic edition, and an enterprise edition. Current subscribers of Tap Magazine will continue to receive Handheld Computing.

Handheld Computing Magazine - Published bimonthly, provides Palm-related news, reviews, previews and interviews, along with invaluable tips, tricks and technical help. Available later this month on newsstands nationwide.

Handheld Computing Buyer's Guide - Designed to aid Palm OS device owners in choosing hardware, software and accessories. Each quarterly issue will provide extensive product listings covering a wide range of categories, including cases, keyboards, communication software, Web sites and more. Available in May on newsstands nationwide.

Handheld Computing Enterprise Edition - Designed to help businesses and IT professionals maximize the efficiency and potential of Palm OS handhelds in the workplace. Each issue will include not only enterprise-related Palm news and reviews, but also success stories, company profiles and how-to information. It will be polybagged as an "outsert" with the July/Aug 2000 issue, and finally debut as a standalone publication in August, 2000.

Handheld Computing Weekly - Free electronic supplement to the print version of the magazine. Delivered once a week via e-mail (and also available as a Palm-viewable AvantGo channel), each issue will offer easily digestible news and a short product reviews. Available in April, concurrent with the launch of the print magazine.

Handheld Media Group was founded by Rick Broida and Andrew Eisenberg. Broida, who launched Tap Magazine in November, 1997, is chairman of the corporation. He continues to serve as editor-in-chief of Handheld Computing and is the editorial director for the new publications. Eisenberg is the CEO of Handheld Media Group and publisher of its titles.
