Chapura Releases PocketMirror Standard XT
UPDATED Chapura has announced that PocketMirror Standard XT 3.1.8 is available to synchronize data in Microsoft Outlook with the palmOne PIM applications on Treo 650, Zire 72, Zire 31, Tungsten T5, Tungsten T3 and Tungsten E devices. PocketMirror is the first third party software product line to synchronize the additional fields with Outlook Contacts, Calendar, Tasks, and Notes.
PocketMirror Standard XT synchronizes the enhanced palmOne PIM applications with the default Outlook folders. Released in March 2004, PocketMirror Professional XT synchronizes multiple folders in Outlook, including public folders and subfolders, with the palmOne handheld software.
By synchronizing Outlook with palmOne Contacts, Calendar, Tasks and Memos applications, PocketMirror Standard XT adapts select handhelds to become more useful personal information managers. The key features of PocketMirror Standard XT are:
- Simple, one-button, uninterrupted synchronization
- Accurate transfer of information between Outlook and handheld
- Synchronization of palmOne applications, which have more fields than the PIM software in all other Palm OS handhelds. Additional fields include Instant Messenger address and multiple phone numbers, email addresses and street addresses.
PocketMirror Standard XT is available to owners of Treo 650, Zire 72, Zire 31, Tungsten T5, Tungsten T3 and Tungsten E devices for $39.95. [BUY]
“From the installation of PocketMirror Standard XT to the first synchronization and beyond, Chapura offers our customers a positive experience unmatched in the handheld technology or even the PC software industry,” says Keith Ellenberg, chief operating officer at Chapura. “Our long-time customers who own these new palmOne devices now have an alternative that allows them to continue choosing reliable software and stellar support from Chapura.”
Update
A bit of confusion regarding this announcement was brought up in the comments and I contacted Chapura for an explanation. We initially noted in the headline that the application was an update, when it is in fact a new product. PIC also published an incorrect product link in the article, which has now been fixed. We apologize for the misprints.
