The problem Microsoft is going to face is managing an operating system that occupies a piece of equipment that is either an under par laptop, or an over bloated PDA. I think the general public is still trying to identify PDAs as toys, not tools. With the right combination of 3rd party software available for the Palm, you have an incredibly powerful tool. Enough to manage my personal accounts as well as my business accounts. And it synchronizes seamlessly. The new Windows (and I have nothing agains Microsoft as a company) for PDAs is just too clunky. It tries to pack so much I don'y need into it. Plus the average cost is near double against the highest price Palm. Simplicity and complexity don't necessarily come in visible packages.
