Photos HQ Improved Camera App Updated

Posted By: Kris Keilhack on Monday, March 31, 2008 8:25:57 AM

Photos HQThe Photos HQ image enhancement app from Treoware has recently been updated to version 1.0.8. This innovative little program replaces the stock camera app on most Palm OS Treo and Centro devices and offers improved image quality, color fidelity and the option of higher-resolution photos. PhotosHQ also offers an improved digital zoom feature as well a self-timer and the capability to output images in either bitmap or jpeg format. The developer lists improvements to SXGA (e.g., Centro) capture optimization and corrected issues with the PalmPhotoLib and the side button assignment.

Photos HQ v1.08 for Palm OS is shareware and is available for the minor sum of $3.95. It is compatible with the Treo 600, 650, 680, 700p, 755p and the Centro. In a welcome nod to the remaining PDA fans, Palm's two camera-equipped Zire handhelds, the 71 and 72, are also supported by this app.

 How well does this work?

I'm considering a one device option of getting a treo 755p. This looks like it could improve the camera feature which the treo comes with.

Anyone out there try this yet? If, so what were your results?
