VEMoDe is a free program that gives you a quick and easy way to turn your digital videos and movies into portable videos. It will convert from many formats and includes optimized settings for several mobile devices.
It has some nice features including "Encode by size" which allows you to get the most quality for the amount of space on your memory card, cropping options, start and end options to clip unwanted portions or credits and auto-shutdown for longer overnight encoding.

It's too bad Palm can seem to bother to replicate this type of software for their PAYING CUSTOMERS.

VR,
Are you freakin' crazy. My Palm came with the uber-powerful Kinoma Player and the phenominal Adobe Acrobat Reader. Watching vids at 160x240 and viewing .PDFs at 160x160 on my HVGA T3 just simply rocks!!!
All those years I was using Picsel Viewer on my CLIEs while Palm users were victimized by that schlockware Adobe Acrobat Reader reinforced that Palm simply does not take the business user seriously. In fact, lack of a stable email app, a decent MP3 player, a file browser, a video player and a solid security app suggest Palm doesn't take ANY user seriously. Oh well. At least I have my stockpile of CLIEs in my bunker all locked and loaded with the best PalmOS apps ever released. And when "Auntie" Mike Cane comes over begging that I let him in, I'll be sure to open a can of whoop a$$ on the old geezer! Yee haw! ------------------------ The Palm eCONomy = Communism™ The Great Palm Swindle: http://www.palminfocenter.com/comment_view.asp?ID=7864#108038 NetFrontLinux - the next major cellphone OS?: http://www.palminfocenter.com/comment_view.asp?ID=8060#111823
Another free app; PocketDiVXencoder offers Palm presets and batch mode ability. Its actually easier to use and the output is great.
