Agendus for Windows Outlook, Palm Desktop Updated

Posted By: Ryan on Monday, May 08, 2006 1:02:40 PM

Agendus Palm Desktop Outlook Editioniambic, has released version 4 of Agendus for Windows (AGW), Outlook Edition and Palm Desktop Edition. These desktop versions of Agendus, iambic's award-winning personal information management (PIM) program for Palm OS handhelds, contain new and updated features that aim to make schedule management effortless.

With the new "Capture to Agendus" feature, you no longer have to type as much. Instead, you can populate contacts, meetings, tasks, calls and email with text that you can capture from anywhere. Inputting information isn't limited to typing. With Agendus for Windows, Version 4, you can also capture voice recordings and sketches.

iambic has ported its customization philosophy from Agendus for Palm OS to the desktop. Agendus for Windows, Version 4 makes personalizing your calendar interface with color themes and icons a snap. Plus, you can sort your contacts, and even edit and create icons for linking to calendar events, meetings, calls, notes, or tasks.

Agendus for Windows "connects" seamlessly with the back-end (data repository) and the front-end (user interface) of Outlook and Palm Desktop. No plug-ins are required. It also has the capability to synchronize with Agendus for Palm OS on your handheld, allowing you to take your valuable information with you when you leave your desk. Even better, all that customization work (icons, day color, contact photos, etc.) you set up, as well as any voice recording/sketches you use in Agendus for Windows will be transferred to your handheld along with your data, thanks to the special synchronization companion (Agendus Extras Conduit) that's included with Version 4.

Details on the rest of the features and updates for Agendus for Windows, Palm Desktop edition and upgrade pricing are available at iambic.com.

"Our mission is twofold: We want to help people better manage their time, contacts and activities in a way that works best for them. And we want that way to seem as natural as possible-as though the application is actually adapting to how the person works," said Adriano Chiaretta, chief operating officer at iambic, Inc. "We believe that adding the capability to include voice recordings, sketches and text captured from anywhere to items in Microsoft Outlook and Palm Desktop is a huge step towards helping users achieve effortless schedule management."

Between now and June 5, 2006, Version 4 of Agendus for Windows, Outlook Edition and Agendus for Windows, Palm Desktop Edition can be purchased $29.95. The standard list price is $39.95.
