Palm and O2, a leading provider of mobile services to consumers and businesses in the UK, have announced that the award-winning Palm Treo 650 smartphone is now available in the O2 business portfolio. The agreement with O2 strengthens Palm's position in the UK market with the goal of continuing to expand Treo smartphone presence in Europe and providing the best mobile-computing experience with the Treo family of products.
With carrier activation, the Palm Treo 650 smartphone combines a compact, full-featured mobile phone with email, a Palm OS organizer, messaging, web access and digital camera, allowing users to organize and simplify their business and personal lives all in one device. The Treo 650, awarded "Best smartphone in 2005" by Mobile Choice magazine, comes with advanced features, including Bluetooth wireless technology and extensive multimedia capabilities, such as an MP3 player and video capture and playback. Not quite - Orange have been doing the 650 for a while (and before that, the 600). Thomas RE: That is to say...SeldomVisitor @ 6/8/2006 4:58:40 PM #
Posts elsewhere suggest Orange discontinued the TREOs. RE: That is to say...
Oranges website suggests it has not been discontinued:

I was waiting and waiting for the 700p (like everyone else) and then realised it wouldn't play in Europe, which I call England. So I had to get the phone that I looked at last summer.
I took a risk that the rumours of the 'holywood' phone are true and that it runs on Windows Mobile -yuk. Also the next only hope for a non Windows Treo in Europe is the 'consumer device rumoured to be 'lowrider' which many here have been saying would be more like a Treo 600 so, it had to be the 650. Its a shame that this is quite an old phone now with not too much memory etc and knowing that a newer model with a better camera nd more Outlook and Server 2003 incorporation is available is slightly dampening my enthusiasm, but only slightly.
