Pocket Tunes Update Released
A long-awaited fix for Treo owners who use Pocket Tunes and Pocket Tunes Deluxe is now available. Hot on the heels of last week's release of Pocket Tunes 3.1.7, Normsoft has quietly released version 3.1.8 to address some issues with Palm devices utilizing PXA25x CPUs.
The major attraction of the new update is a serious improvement in the skipping audio on the Treo 700p. Initial testing on my Treo 700p shows that the skips are still present but considerably improved over previous versions. There are additional minor bugfixes on other Palm devices.
Users can get the update from Normsoft's website or by using the built-in update downloader built into the Pocket Tunes app. The latest versions are also up on the PIC software store. Pocket Tunes is bundled in ROM on the Palm LifeDrive, Palm TX, and 700p.
Pocket Tunes Basic is available for purchase for $14.95 or $34.95 for the Deluxe edition.
