Quickies: A new JVM and PocketScience Name Change

Emwerks has announced what it claims is the first full-function Java support for Palm PDAs. The Kada platform utilizes Emwerks' proprietary technology to implement the JVM and Java Development Kit specs in a compact (155KB) form, while retaining the functionality of the full-size JVM.

PocketScience, maker of the Backflip, is changing its name to Pocket.com and expanding its focus to include becoming an information provider.
