webOS Devs to Get Early Access to Updates
Palm's development team has announced that select webOS developers with applications available in the Palm App Catalog will now be able to get early access to future webOS system updates. Palm is providing this new program so that developers can primarily test compatibility of their software in advance of new releases.
Reports are already out that some developers have already been seeded with webOS v1.3.1. While there is little known about this new version at this time, the latest rumors claim it may be released shortly before the launch of the Palm Pixi on Nov 15th.
Rumors also look favorable for folks across the atlantic as European users may finally receive feature parity with their CDMA counterparts once the new update is released. All of the current GSM Palm Pre's ship with a older version of webOS (v1.1.3), which lacks many of the refinements and browser updates found in the last major v1.2 release for the Sprint Palm Pre.
