AlphaSmart has announced that it has extended the terms of its licensing agreement with PalmSource. The new contract, which gives AlphaSmart the ability to continue to innovate on the Palm OS platform, extends the terms of its original agreement by more than two years, or through December 31, 2008.

PalmSource today reported revenues of $21.6 million for the third quarter ended February 27, 2004, as compared to revenues of $26.3 million for the same quarter of the prior fiscal year.

In an interview with the BBC, palmOne CEO Todd Bradley definitely revealed that palmOne will be launching new devices in April. The company has recently been hinting at a line of Treo products and other reports indicate new Zire models coming soon.
