Comments on: Centro Launch Party in Mexico City

Blue Centro Models PoderPDA was on-hand at the Palm Centro launch party held recently in Mexico. The site has published an interesting report from the event in english with a good assortment of pictures from the festivities.

The party was held at a well known lounge bar in Mexico City. Palm's CEO Ed Colligan was present along with a number of executives from Palm Mexico and Latin America, some models demonstrating the Centro and Mexican recording artist Ximena Sariñana. Of course the Blue Centro made an appearance as well.

Two questions on the minds of the teeming PIC masses:

1. Where is the lovely Sara? Did they not bring her to this event?

2. Where is Colligan's band of boy toys?

On a (slightly) more serious note, doesn't this seem like more hoopla than usual for Palm as far as addressing the Mexican market? Are they trying to intentionally pick up marketshare in emerging markets such as Central/South America, India etc? I'm assuming these areas are targeted as being a good for for POS & the Centro due to the smartphone competition being not quite as fierce and the consumers are more price-conscious.

Yes, however Palm needs all the hoopla they can get, not having anything substantial to otherwise PR-fluff about at the moment.

I just wanted to add that I would surmise that Sara isn't gracing the event with her presence because of its location. I would imagine that they have locals for such events.

Still raving about Sara? Ok, she is cute a easy on the eye. However, it is not like ther are a couple thousand other women out there like that easy to meet. Are you guys that isolated behind your computers that your internet gut is keeping you all from getting a date? I thought Slashdot types were hard up!
