Palm Vx Claudia Schiffer Palm Vx is currently available exclusively on ClaudiaSchiffer.com. It sports a unique blue brushed metal case instead of the traditional silver color and comes preloaded with an image viewer, a diet log, a fitness tracker, a puzzle featuring images of Claudia, a currency and clothing converter, and shopping guides with Claudia's suggestions on stores in various cities. Revolve Design is now shipping its Power UniMount docking cradle line, providing in-vehicle mounting and charging. It works with the III series, TRGPro, PalmVII and Symbol SPT1500. They range in price from $90 to $135. -Michael Shawver

I think this is a dumb marketing idea. They'd be better off giving it a Nike swish.

I bet if they came up with a Palm with a color scheme of your favorite NFL teams you all would go nuts. And if it had a start-up screen with the team logo and an updateable team schedule all you "guys" out there would be slapping each others butts thinking it was the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Give her a break, I think it is a great marketing idea.

If you are curious, Cnet has an interview with Claudia Schiffer about her Palm Vx:

Only about a quarter of Palm's users are women, while half the people on the Internet are women?

Yeah, 25 percent are women. It's so little. I hope by offering this color to women and also having the software that's women-oriented...that hopefully they'll have fun buying one and playing around with it.

Just wondering how was the response on CS's Vx? Believe this is not the right timing, with such kind budget, you almost can consider on Visor Prism which come with faster CPU and 16bit colour display, don't you think so?

Claudia Schiffer will raise money for the U.S. Fund for UNICEF this holiday season by offering the recently launched Claudia Schiffer Edition Palm Vx on eBay. Five individual packages will be available, which include her new Palm Vx signed by Claudia Schiffer and a signed photo of the model/actress/entrepreneur. The items will be available for bidding through December 21, with all proceeds going to UNICEF, the world's leading organization working on behalf of children worldwide.
